About Us
Our History

God gave to Our Pastor, Elder Kenneth Duke, a vision to establish a Christian school. It was in August 2001 when the New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church opened its doors to house the Safe Haven Child Development Center with one student enrolled. We have since grown to 70. We later opened the New Jerusalem Christian Academy in August 2003 with 8 students enrolled. We have grown to 111 children. Each class is capped at 20 students.

Children have a right to learn in an atmosphere that is free of stress, that is environmentally safe, and that is structured, so that they receive an academically sound, emotionally balanced, physically challenging, and morally strong education.

We are committed to meeting the academic needs of our children in a Christ-centered atmosphere. We pay careful attention to how each child best learns.  It is our primary desire that every child's potential will be tapped and maximized.  We believe that children are gift a from GOD.
